The suspense of every additional object thrown up the tree is supported by the beautiful illustrations complementing the free-flowing font of text. But what made me a die-hard fan were his incredibly inventive stories and his lovable and often hilarious characters. Our 17 month granddaughter loves this and sits still for the whole book which is unusual. I read a pre-pub review and thought it sounded really cute, possibly even storytime material.
